Selina “Aztec Queen Barrios (L) VS Melissa “Huracan Shark” Hernandez kicks off the DAZN action tonight from The Cajun Dome in Lafayette, Louisiana

I first saw Miami’s Melissa “Hurracan Shark” Hernandez fight in her sixth professional bout in Lake Tahoe. It was an all-female fight card that night and Melissa was a young, up and coming star that was showcased on a card that showcased a good mix of female talent, both young and veteran.

Tonight from Louisiana Hernandez, now the 7-time World Champion veteran kicks off the DAZN action against undefeated up and coming Selina “Aztec Queen” Barrios of San Antonio. Hernandez has had the common story for female fighters, after her fourth match against Layla McCarter and unable to secure further match ups, the 39 year old Hernandez 22-7-3 (7) has been on a nearly 3 year layoff. Newly signed to Vegas based Management firm VegasChamp Boxing, she is looking to prove that she is back and still has enough in the tank for one more title run!
Barrios, 5-0 (2), is a common story of today’s female boxing, as she had an amateur career and has developed nicely as she steps up to the next level.  she has been guided and groomed early in her career and tonight looks to prove that she belongs on the big stage!

Two confident fighters each with something to prove is a proper ingrediant for a great fight. The 8 round lightweight contest kicks off the telivised action headlined by title bouts Regis Prograis vs Kiryl Relikh for the super lightweight championship and Nonito Donaire defends his Bantamweight title vs Stephon Young.
